Job Description - As a Label Estimator you will be responsible for estimating the cost, materials, and production timelines for labels.
This role requires a sharp attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with team members to ensure an efficient and cost-effective label estimating process.
Key
Responsibilities:
Label Cost Estimation - Calculate the cost of labels based on various factors, including size, design complexity, printing methods, and materials.
Material Selection - Collaborate with procurement teams to select appropriate label materials for the customers label application while optimizing cost.
Production Timeline Planning - Work closely with production team to develop accurate timelines for label production and convey this on the estimate.
Vendor Communication:
Communicate with material vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery.
Review completed jobs to verify profitability and job costing competitiveness.
Cost Optimization - Identify opportunities to reduce label production costs without compromising quality.
Documentation - Maintain accurate estimate records within our company estimating portal and attach customer and sales detail to the estimate.
Pre-flight Sessions - attend sessions to verify estimates are set up correctly prior to production.
Cross-functional Collaboration - Collaborate with marketing, design, production, and quality control teams to align label requirements with overall product goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience in label estimation, print production, or a related field.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and label estimation software/tools.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
