The ideal candidate is a multi-tasker, with a confident and positive attitude, and excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This individual will work on projects of diverse complexity and scope.
As a Cemetery Administrator and Sales Advisor, this individual will be responsible for handling cemetery property and marker sales, overseeing order tracking and installation, scheduling cemetery services, and collaborating with our funeral preneed department at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory.
It is also a expected that this individual is active in the community and promotes our organization in a positive manner.
The typical duties of a Cemetery Administrator and Sales Advisor include, but are not limited to:
Sales and Service Handle a high volume of inbound phone calls from current and potential customers.
Participate in customer meetings offering cemetery property, products and services.
Design and order memorial markers.
Work as a liaison between the funeral home preneed department and cemetery.
Set-up and assist with services at the funeral home or cemetery.
Participate in planning and execution of marketing special programs and community events in conjunction with the pre-need department.
Administrative Tasks Daily office tasks and procedures such as preparing contracts and other documents, data entry, reporting, file maintenance, housekeeping, and supply maintenance.
Place orders for cemetery merchandise, track orders, and update software system and files.
Create work orders for merchandise and ensure timely completion of work Understand service scheduling and update all software and files.
Required Skills Associates or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing/Business/PR/Computer Science or equivalent.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and possess the ability to interact with all levels of employees internally, with customers, and with suppliers, businesses and outside organizations.
Organized, creative and self-motivated with experience in sales.
Comfortable working with customers facing highly emotional situations or dealing with grief.
Emotionally and physically stable to work near deceased individuals, and discuss the funeral or cremation planning process.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with social media outlets and business/accounting software programs.
Strong commitment to serving our customers, working independently, and setting and achieving personal goals.
This is an hourly position with bonus opportunities available.
Hours worked will be between Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with occasional weekend hours necessary.
Hours may be flexible between 35-40 per week.
Individual must be motivated and a self-starter, eager to be innovative in a progressive organization, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation will be based on experience and may include 401k retirement plan, paid vacation, health insurance, continuing education and civic memberships.
