9K a year The Human Resources Generalist is supported by the Human Resources Director.
The HR Generalist will support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations.
The HR Generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping the company to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, and compensation and benefits.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Work within corporate policy frameworks to design and implement HR strategies, guidelines, and procedures to support business and personnel needs Assist production and retail management in implementing HR policy, including employee training and development programs, safety and security programs, recognition, compensation, benefit and incentive plans Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions, including background checks and employee reference checks Assist with internal and external communications by writing or distributing memos, schedules, emails, and bulletins for all OH locations, including retail dispensaries Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests for all OH employees Maintain personnel records in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices Assist with performance management and employee engagement procedures Work with managers and personnel to identify HR issues and provide leadership and support in finding solutions Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations In coordination with HR Director, co-administers payroll, benefits, or other HR programs / projects for OH employees.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Coordinate training sessions and seminars Perform orientations and update records of new staff Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:
N/A Relevant Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related (preferred).

years of experience as an HR Generalist (essential).
5
years of experience in HR or related roles within manufacturing or retail industry (preferred).
Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
Effective HR administration and people management skills.
Exposure to payroll practices.
Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous attention to detail Must comply with state regulations and guidelines Must be 21 years of age or older Ability to pass a background check Ability to travel, primarily locally and during normal business hours.
Physical Requirements:
Standing and moving for 1-2 hours at a time Long periods of prolonged sitting and standing Long periods of prolonged use of office equipment including computers and phones Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer May require lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
