Health and Food Safety Coordinator Reports to:
Health and Food Safety Manager Based at:
MIMI Farms Inc.
- Ohio Type of Employment:
Full-Time, permanent, 5-days a week; and some additional hours, which may include Saturdays, depending on workload and priorities.
Key Tasks and
Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance to regulatory and corporate food safety policies and programs Conduct internal inspections according to company standards Collect samples to measure, monitor and evaluate effectiveness of internal food safety programs (sanitation, environmental monitoringetc.
) Assist with regulatory inspections and 3rd party audits Conduct new hire orientation and lead efforts for ongoing health and food safety training Analyze safety trends and be proactive with recommendations for improvement Lead investigations to determine root cause and develop corrective actions Assist with development and maintenance of related SOPs Timely and accurate record keeping Coordinate equipment calibration Assist in the investigation of all related customer complaints Maintain current knowledge of trends and changes affecting health and food safety and make recommendations for appropriate program changes to ensure compliance Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
2 years of relevant work experience Strong understanding of HACCP, OHSA and GMP requirements Able to work independently with limited supervision Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications Able to work in a team environment with a professional and optimistic attitude Creative, adaptable and able to accurately handle out of the ordinary issues with a sense of urgency Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail HACCP certification is an asset First aid certification is an asset Forklift experience is an asset Valid driver's license with own transportation Ability to speak Spanish is an asset Physical Abilities:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy material (i.
e.
up to 23 kg / 50 lbs.
) Able to climb stairs and stand on feet for an extended period of time.
Work in a temperature-controlled environment of approximately 13 ?C / 55 ?F.
Job Requirements:
